Having played tennis actively for over 50 years, I can say that there is always another fine point to learn about the sport, and Rick Altman reminded me of some of the reasons to be more thoughtful about how the game is played. He does not offer any quick fixes for poor techniques, but suggests some thought processes for finding a mental edge in competition that can make a difference. It is a good reference.
Great book - nicely written. Makes his points in clear language. Good illustrations.
Terrific book! Written by a league player who talks about the what really happens on the court. It offers clear and simple tactics, ways to think about serves and returns, and ways to deal with all the peripheral elements of a competitive doubles match. A very helpful guide to the real experience of playing competitive doubles.

The ease of understanding without getting into technical terms
Excellent book for club-type players. Recommended. Lots of simple, useful advice on things you may not have thought of.
The portion of the book was how the server's partner (SP) can read the shoulders of the returner (R) to assess whether return is going cross court or down-the-line, is alone worth the purchase price. Much of the rest of the book was confirmation/reinforcement of beliefs/habits I've already internalized
